SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — With severe thunderstorms rolling through Sangamon County, thousands of people experienced power outages Sunday night.
According to the Ameren Illinois outage map, 1,822 people were affected by outages that started around 7:38 p.m. in Rochester.
As of 6:30 a.m. power to almost all customers had been restored.Â
CWLP said the largest outage area impacted over 800 customers on a circuit from their Cornell substation. The station runs south of South Grand Avenue from Whittier Avenue to Douglas Avenue.
