DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Two people were shot Thursday afternoon in Decatur. 

Police were called to Running Reds and Woodford streets in Decatur. Multiple streets were closed as officers responded.

Police said a 26-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were shot. The man was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.  The woman was treated and released from the hospital.

Decatur Public Schools told the station Stephen Decatur Middle School was placed on a soft lockdown in response to the situation. Students dismissed at their regularly scheduled time.

The shooting was not related to students at the school, authorities said.
