(WAND) -Â Voters across the state headed to the polls Tuesday for the Illinois Primary Election, casting ballots in a number of key local, state, and federal races.
Election officials reported steady turnout throughout the day as voters made their choices for party nominees who will advance to the general election later this year.
Races on the ballot included congressional seats, statewide offices, and a variety of local contests that will help shape leadership across Illinois communities.
