4 injured, including 1-year-old, 6-year-old, in Christian County crash

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - Four people were injured, including two children, in a crash on US 51 in Christian County Wednesday night.

Illinois State Police were called to US 51 at Leafland St. at 6:40 p.m.

Troopers said the crash involved two vehicles, a Ford Escape and a Ford truck.

The driver of the Escape, a 28-year-old from Terre Haute, Indiana, was transported to the hospital with injuries.

Two passengers in the Escape, a 1-year-old and a 6-year-old both of Taylorville, were both also taken to the hospital with injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 37-year-old of Moweaqua, Illinois, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Escape was cited for Failure to Yield at a Yield Intersection.

No further information is being released.
