91-year-old woman dead after multi-vehicle crash near Ludlow

LUDLOW, Ill. (WAND) - A 91-year-old woman is dead after a multi-vehicle crash near Ludlow Friday afternoon.

Illinois State Police told WAND News troopers were called out for a crash involving two vehicles and injuries. 

The crash happened at 11:42 a.m. at US-45 near N Oak Street in Ludlow, just south of the Champaign/Ford County Line. 

The Champaign County Coroner said that Shirley Jones, 91, of Rantoul, was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1 p.m. 

The coroner's office added that an autopsy has been scheduled.
