DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A second Decatur man arrested for human trafficking in December was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Macon County court records show that 32-year-old Jacob Miller must serve up to six months of mandatory supervised release following his time in the IDOC.
He also received credit for time served from Dec. 2, 2025, to July 26.
Illinois State Police said that during an October investigation by the Coles County Sheriff's Office, a woman was identified as a possible human trafficking victim following a reported theft.
The ISP's Illinois Trafficking Enforcement Group (ITEG) found that the woman had been abused and sexually assaulted by two men, later identified as Miller and 36-year-old Bryan Slater.
Slater was sentenced to 12 years in the IDOC on Thursday.
