LATHAM, Ill. (WAND) - Destroyed sheds, downed trees and power lines, and debris littering the roads and fields... that is the aftermath following storm storms that moved through Central Illinois and rural Latham Wednesday night.Â
WAND News was live in Latham Thursday morning to examine the storm damage.Â
Latham Volunteer Fire and Rescue advised people to stay home if possible Friday as there will be a lot of emergency vehicles out cleaning up.Â
Three crashes were reported along Interstate 72 westbound in Macon County between mile markers 130 and 139.
Illinois State Police Troop 7 said that the crashes were property damage only, but they were obstructing lanes.
WAND News also received reports of an overturned semi-truck on Route 121 in Logan County near Latham.
The initial report from Troop 6 shows that one person was injured in a truck tractor semi-trailer rollover crash. They were taken to an area hospital with injuries. No further information has been provided.
