Attempted murder warrant issued after weekend shooting

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A man wanted for a June 17 shooting in Decatur has been arrested.

30-year-old Cory Marquis has been taken into custody.

Marquis is preliminarily charged with attempted murder.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the early morning hours of June 17 and treated for life-threatening injuries.

Marquis also had a warrant from the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation.
