LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. (WAND) - A small town in Tennessee is reeling after a baby was found abandoned in someone's yard, and her entire family was found murdered.Â
NBC News reports four bodies were discovered in Tiptonville, Tennessee Tuesday night.Â
This came after the family's infant daughter was left at the end of a stranger's driveway in the neighboring Dyer County.Â
Dyer County deputies got a call at 3 p.m. Tuesday from a home in the area of Old Highway 20 in Tigrett, Tennessee that a 7-month-old baby was left in a car seat. The child was taken the to hospital to be checked out.Â
Four bodies, later identified as the baby's parents, grandmother, and teenage uncle, were discovered in a home in nearby Lake County. Authorities have labeled it a quadruple homicide. That is about 40 miles away from where the baby was found.Â
The victims were identified as the baby's father, 21-year-old Matthew Wilson, mother, 20-year-old Adrianna Williams, maternal grandmother, 38-year-old Corney Rose, and maternal uncle, 15-year-old Braydon Williams.Â
Before the bodies were found, Dyer County deputies said they got a 911 call Tuesday night at 10:36 reporting Rose and her daughter as missing.Â
Deputies are looking for the person or people responsible, but they have said they believe this was a targeted attack. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and the FBI have been requested to help with the case.Â
