Springfield, IL- 36 year old David Brunner is facing up to 60 years in jail when he is sentenced for murder in August.

Prosecutors say Brunner took advantage of a woman's kindness before he killed her. A Sangamon County jury convicted him in the strangulation death of Judy Schermerhorn.

Schermerhorn was found dead in her Springfield home in 2006. Prosecutors say she would have Brunner come to her home to do handy work.

Brunner will be sentenced August 18th. He will have to serve every day of his sentence.
