CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Champaign Police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene of a domestic stabbing Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 2000 block of North Mattis Avenue following reports of a stabbing with injuries. Investigators determined that a domestic dispute had escalated, resulting in a woman stabbing a 19-year-old male.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the area before officers arrived and remains at large. Champaign Police are actively seeking the suspect as the investigation continues.
