DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — Two people under the age of 18 were hurt in a shooting in Danville Friday afternoon.
The Danville Police Department said officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 600 block of East Williams Street just before 4:30 p.m.
According to police, a 9-1-1 caller said they were walking with another person when they heard two gunshots and were hit by a bullet.
When officers arrived, they found two people under the age of 18 who had been shot. A third person who was with the victims was not hurt.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, where police said they are in stable condition.Â
No arrests have been made, and the shooting is still under investigation.
This marks the third shooting in the last three days in Danville. On Saturday, a man was killed and another person was hurt in a shooting at the Save-A-Lot parking lot. On Sunday morning, three teenagers were hurt after a shooting in the 900 block of Lewis Lane.
