CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- One man was injured in a shooting Saturday morning in Champaign. 

According to Champaign police they responded to shots fired on the 1100 block of N. Third Street at 2:24 a.m. on Saturday May 17. 

Once they arrived they found a 22-year-old man from Urbana with a gun shot wound to his leg. He was then taken to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition. 

During the investigation police said gun fire was exchanged between unknown parties and once they arrived on scene the people involved had fled the scene. 

Champaign police said arrest have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
