URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - A man is in custody after Urbana police said he tricked a person into letting him into their home and tried to take money from them.
The Urbana Police Department stated that officers responded to a report of a home invasion after 2 p.m. Tuesday along South Cottage Grove Avenue.
Urbana police said that 60-year-old Michael Willis had convinced the victim that he was a maintenance worker.Â
After being let inside, Willis was said to use force to steal money from the victim, who eventually managed to escape and call the police.Â
Willis was found in the area and arrested about an hour later, according to UPD.Â
