SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A man arrested in connection to a fatal hit and run crash has plead guilty to his role in the crash. 

According to court records, Herman L. Willis, 58, of Springfield, plead guilty to obstruction of justice. His charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident and leaving the scene of an accident were dropped. 

Police arrested Willis in June 2024.

Willis was sentenced to 30 months of probation.
