PANA, Ill. (WAND) - Pana police are warning residents of a scam involving the circulation of counterfeit money.
The Pana Police Department posted on Facebook that it received a report Thursday of counterfeit $100 bills being circulated at four different businesses around the community.
PPD shared that each of the counterfeit bills was "slightly smaller" than a legal $100 bill, and was identified to have the same series from "1981," with a serial number of "G09266532A."
