RIVERTON, Ill. (WAND) - A Riverton man facing child pornography charges has been denied pretrial release. 

Thaddeus Rogers is charged with possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography. 

The Sangamon County Sheriff's Office said Rogers shared child pornography on April 2 and 3. They said it was also discovered on July 2 that Rogers possessed child pornography. 

He was arrested on July 2 in Riverton. He made an initial appearance and was denied pretrial release. 

A preliminary hearing has been set for July 16.
