MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - A woman accused of stealing over $500,000 from a Mattoon dentist has pleaded guilty. Â
Court records stated that Rebecca Gutierrez pleaded guilty to five charges.
According to a charging document from the Coles County State's Attorney, Gutierrez was believed to have stolen money from Brian Hastings and the Hastings and Havlik Family Dentistry between June 2020 and Sept. 30, 2025.
She was charged with two Class X felonies for stealing between $500,000 and $1 million.
Guiterrez will be sentenced Nov. 16 in Urbana.Â
