SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A truck crash in Springfield has caused a power outage and traffic disruptions Wednesday morning.

According to City Water, Light and Power (CWLP) , the crash happened near 9th Street and Miller Street, where a truck struck both a utility pole and a house. The impact knocked out power for several blocks and affected traffic signals in the area.

CWLP reports that about 134 customers are without electricity from 8th to 10th Streets, between North Grand Avenue and Carpenter Street. Crews are working to restore service and estimate power will be back on by 11 a.m.

Traffic lights are currently out at North Grand Avenue and 9th Street, and the intersection has been temporarily converted into a four-way stop with posted signage.

Northbound lanes of 9th Street are closed at Carpenter Street, and drivers are urged to use alternate routes until repairs are complete.
