Fire, firetruck fire fighter

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — Danville firefighters fought fire as well as freezing temperatures on Sunday afternoon.

The fire department was called to a vacant building at 516 W. Clay Street around 5 p.m. The building was heavily involved in fire.

Early reports from a person at the scene said that someone might have been inside the building. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control and search the building, but no one was found inside.

Danville Mass Transit provided a warming bus so firefighters at the scene could warm up during the operation.

No injuries have been reported and the estimated damage is at $21,000.
