SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A car vs motorcycle crash has left two dead in Springfield.
The crash happened at the intersection of E. Mason and N. 11th St.
The driver of the car died from an medical event after interacting with police.
The driver of the motorcycle also died.

Sangamon county coroner Cinda Edwards has released the name of the two deceased in yesterdays deadly crash in Springfield.
Cecelia Drake, age 76, of Springfield was pronounced deceased 6/23/2018 at 3:02 pm at HSHS St. John's ER. She was transported from the scene of an accident at 11th and Mason and was the driver of a car involved in that accident. At this time, her death is consistent with natural causes and not from injuries.
Michael Germann, age 50, of Springfield was pronounced deceased 6/23/2018 at 3:22pm at HSHS St. John's ER. He was the operator and lone rider of a motorcycle involved in the same crash at 11th and Mason and was also transported by EMS to the emergency room. At this time, his death is presumed to be from injuries sustained in the accident.
Autopsies will be conducted Monday in Springfield on both individuals.
