On April 6, Treymayne Bass died at 3:20 a.m. in the Decatur Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, according to Macon County Coroner Michael Day.
The Decatur Police Department said that Bass was visiting a friend, 18-year-old Jayden M. Michniewicz, when a firearm was being handled. Initial interviews suggest that the gun discharged during a transfer, striking Bass in the chest.
