DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Brix Family loves Christmas.

"It's always been my favorite time of the year," said David Brix.

Since 2018 the family farm has transformed into a Christmas light show. Each year gets bigger and bigger.

"God has blessed us this last couple of years to continue to do this and continue to grow," said Gabrielle Cargill, David's daughter and IT for the light show.

Right after harvest, family, friends, and hired help assist with stringing up thousands of lights and running miles of extension cords across the farm on Garver Church Road. Brix said each year they try to make the show a little different.

"The biggest change has been to the drive-thru area, we've added a lot of lights and we've added more farm equipment," he said.

The family accepts donations to maintain the show, but they also use the funds for acts of kindness and the scholarships they sponsor at Richland Community College. To learn more, click here.

The show runs through the end of the month. The family also posts updates on Facebook.
