DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – A ranking system recognized Decatur Memorial Hospital for high performance.

DMH received high performance rankings in abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, lung cancer surgery and colon cancer surgery from U.S. News and World Report. The organization’s “Best Hospitals” rankings looked at over 4,500 hospitals nationally over dozens of procedures.

“Decatur Memorial Hospital encompasses a multiple facility medical complex prepared and equipped to address our community’s most pressing healthcare needs—from wellness, to diagnosis, to treatment,” said Timothy D. Stone  Jr., president & CEO of Decatur Memorial Hospital. “I am extremely proud of our physicians, nurses, and staff, who work hard every day to provide high quality care for our community. We strive for excellence, and this achievement reflects DMH’s commitment to provide exceptional care close to home.”

DMH was one of over 1,100 hospitals to claim a high performance ranking in at least one procedure on condition category. Only 158 hospitals earned a national ranking.
