Decatur, IL- The Macon County Coroner has revealed what caused the death of a well known Decatur plastic surgeon.
Coroner Michael Day says final autopsy results show Dr. Emanuella Joseph died from an adverse reaction to local Lidocaine anesthetic used during a self-administered liposuction procedure.
A cleaning crew found Dr. Joseph dead in a surgical area of her office on March 12th. Day says there was no indication of foul play or that anyone was present during the events leading to Dr. Joseph's death.
The case is now officially closed.
