DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – A tornado on the ground for more than 23 miles in Macon County Sunday afternoon caused damage to at least nine homes between Decatur and Mount Zion, according to the National Weather Service in Lincoln.Â
Several homes along Jeanette Drive, Skyline Drive, Walmsley Road, Bentonville Road, and Baltimore Avenue sustained damage, including several homes that lost their roofs.
There have been no reports of injuries. Macon EMA said everyone that was displaced was provided with shelter, and officials are working with the American Red Cross.
