The National Weather Service in Lincoln said a tornado that hit the Nokomis/Pana area on Sunday and ripped off part of the roof of a local school was an EF-1.
Two EF-0 tornadoes were confirmed in southern Effingham County. An EF-U was confirmed in Jasper County and another EF-U was confirmed in Crawford County. There was also an EF-1 in Crawford County that caused significant damage to several homes.
Several areas could see severe weather on Thursday but Effingham County (in the WAND viewing area) was placed under a Tornado Watch.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln issued a Snow Squall Warning for parts of Central Illinois on Wednesday.
Two tornadoes touched down in Macon County Sunday, damaging homes and knocking out power.
Tornadoes have been confirmed in Macon, Edgar, and Iroquois counties.
Prior to Sunday, the state's tornado total for the year was 128. At least five tornadoes have been confirmed across Illinois with damage surveys still in progress. The total is likely to increase.
The National Weather Service put most of central Illinois under a Tornado Watch until 8 p.m. CT.
