(WAND) - The National Weather Service in Lincoln said a tornado that hit the Nokomis/Pana area on Sunday and ripped off part of the roof of a local school was an EF-1. 

In a post Tuesday afternoon, NWS Lincoln shared that the tornado moved from Montgomery to Christian Counties and was on the ground for 13.6 miles.  

Nokomis schools were closed on Monday after several pieces of the steel roof had blown off the east side of the junior high gym. Additional damage was seen near the high school.

The NWS Lincoln office also confirmed other EF-1s in Assumption, Lovington, Tuscola, Tuscola/Villa Grove, Mount Olive, Irving, Witt and another in Montgomery County. 

There were also EF-0s in Bethany and Arthur that had hit the area over the weekend.
