Windy but returning to quiet conditions this afternoon

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Monday! We’ll gradually return to sunshine today, but first we have a few more hours of gusty winds before things quiet down.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect this morning, and for many across central Illinois, it will continue until 3 pm this afternoon. This will leave us feeling like sub-zero temperatures this morning, and single digits this afternoon even as temperatures warm into the 20s.

High pressure brings sunshine and clearing skies for the second half of our day. The clear skies will send us back into the teens overnight. Winds will gradually calm heading into tomorrow morning.
