URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - A popular West Coast drive-thru coffee chain is coming to Urbana. 

Oregon-based Dutch Bros, which operates more than 1,000 locations, mainly on the West Coast, recently announced plans to open a location at 809 West Green Street. It is on track to open by the end of the year. 

While there are currently no Dutch Bros in Illinois, the Urbana location will actually be the second to open in the state by the end of the year.

Illinois' first location, slated to open by the end of the summer, will be in Glen Carbon.

Dutch Bros Coffee serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, and teas.

The company was founded in 1992 when two brothers bought a double-head espresso machine and started experimenting with 100 pounds of coffee beans.
