DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The Danville School Board of Education will consider terminating a district administrator at its Wednesday's meeting.Â
According to the board agenda, board members will consider several motions that would remove Director of Business Narcissus Rankin for her job. If approved, the termination would be immediate.
Another motion, if approved, would remove her as a tenured teacher. And a third motion would place Rankin on unpaid administrative leave pending her dismissal as a tenured teacher.Â
It's not clear why Rankin is under consideration to lose her jobs with the district.Â
Emails to the district superintendent and board president have not been returned as of Wednesday morning.Â
Rankin has been with the district since 2015.Â
Monday's board meeting will start with a closed session at 5:30 p.m. before reconvening into open session at 6:30 p.m.Â
