DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A man was stabbed in the chest after police said he tried to break up a fight between friends in Decatur.Â
It happened in the 1200 block of East Clay at 10:40 p.m. Monday.Â
Decatur police said a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the left area of his chest when he tried to get in the middle of a fight.Â
Police said he drove himself to the hospital, and his injury was not life threatening.Â
DPD said the victim gave only a vague nickname for the person who stabbed him, and they do not have a name or a description of the suspect at this time.Â
