Perfect ACT scores announcement

Five Champaign Unit 4 students earned perfect scores on the ACT. 

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Five students from Centennial and Champaign Central High Schools achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT, Unit 4 announced on Tuesday.

The students are:

  • Nia Bolton (Centennial HS)
  • Rahul Chekuri (Central HS)
  • Lynn Kim (Central HS)
  • Aaron Rubico (Central HS)
  • Angelo Rubico (CentralHS)

Additionally, six other Unit 4 students earned a near-perfect 35 on the exam:

  • Sachin Bhalerao (Central HS)
  • Riti Bhosale (Centennial HS)
  • Andres Bross (Central HS)
  • Brady Hong (Central HS)
  • Dayoung Lee (Centennial HS)
  • Lowell Miller (Central HS)

About one-quarter of 1% of students who take the ACT nationwide earn a top score. Unit 4 Acting Superintendent Daniel Casillas said he is "extremely proud" of the students. 

"Achieving a perfect score on the ACT is not just a reflection of their intelligence, but of relentless dedication to push beyond limits. It's a testament to the power of hard work and the belief that excellence is never out of reach," Casillas said in a statement.
