Man charged with driving stolen car through Effingham mall appears in court

EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - Effingham police are conducting finger printing testing to solve a jewelry heist.

Police said 23-year-old Jordan Johnston ran a car into the mall and hit the Zales jewelry store and stole items from the store.

This week, the court issued a finger print test to see if Johnston is indeed linked the heist.

He is due back in court in August and is currently under house arrest.
