VIRDEN, Ill. (WAND/KSDK) -Â A father and two children were killed in a Virden house fire.

Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon confirmed to WAND the deaths of two of those people, a 13-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man from Virden.
Macoupin County Coroner Anthony Kravanya confirmed the death of a 10-year-old boy, Jacob James. The initial findings show that he died from smoke inhalation.
The deaths remain under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner, the Macoupin County Coroner, and the State Fire Marshal's Office.Â
Virden Fire Protection District said, the fire happened in the 200 block of Dean Street around 9:30 Saturday morning.
When firefighters arrived, they found the home in flames.
Shortly after arriving, rescue crews helped two people get out of the home.
Firefighters said, life flight was requested but was not available due to the weather conditions. The father and son died shortly after arriving to the hospital by ambulance.Â
The fire department found the second boy, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Macoupin County coroner.
KSDK spoke to a family friend who wanted to remain anonymous. She said she saw the fire and wanted to do what she could to help.
The friend said the mother of the two boys was out of town when it happened. The couple has another daughter who was not injured in the fire.
