election polls voting (GG)

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - With few choices to pick from not many voters will head to the polls on Tuesday for Illinois' Consolidated Primary Election.

In central Illinois, just a handful of races in Champaign and Logan counties have multiple candidates that need winners before April's Consolidated General Election.

In Champaign County, voters in Urbana will decide candidates for three races.

Urbana Mayor Diane Marlin is not seeking re-election. Voters on Tuesday will decide between Democrats Annie Feldmeier Adams or DeShawn Williams. There are no Republicans in the race so Tuesday's winner will likely be the next mayor of Urbana.

Urbana voters will also decide on Alderman Ward 2 Democrats Larry Lister or Christopher Evans and Alderman Ward 6 Phyllis Wilken or William Colbrook. Again, there are no Republicans in these races.

In Logan County, a similar set up will have voters deciding between mayoral, and alderman candidates.

Incumbent Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch is facing a challenge from Craig Eimer and Elizabeth Davis-Kavelman. Eimer is currently the Ward 4 Alderman and Davis-Kavelman previously served as Mayor of Lincoln for two terms, most recently in 2009.

Logan County voters will also decide between Alderman Ward 3 candidates Dennis Clemons Sr. and Wanda Rohlfs and Alderman Ward 4 candidates Rhonda O'Donoghue and Verl Prather.

Polls close at 7 p.m.
