CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) – A man who used to be homeless now has a home full of furniture.
This Is It Furniture Owner Michael Namoff brought in Leonard Scott for a day of work in recent weeks after meeting him when he was searching for jobs. During that day, the two men got to know each other – but the best came after work was done.
“I said hey, where do you live, tell me a little more about yourself, and that’s what it all came about that he had found a place, but it’s completely empty,” Namoff said. “Then we went and (saw) it, and then I said don’t worry, we are going to fix that today.”
A week later, Namoff had filled Scott’s home with furniture, and changed the status quo in the process.
“I thank the good man for doing a good deed,” Scott said.
