DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – Holiday meals are beginning to be served up with Decatur’s Good Samaritan Inn serving a free traditional hot Thanksgiving meal for more than 200 people.
Good Samaritan Executive Director Tanya Melendez tells WAND News volunteers from Caterpillar and the Decatur Police Department helped serve the food. It included turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cheese cake and pumpkin pie.

Good Samaritan Inn provides daily hot meals throughout the year to those in need. Next week on Thanksgiving Day sack lunches will be provided at the Inn which is located at 920 N. Union Street.
