DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Hundreds joined together in Fairview Park to join the fight against Ovarian, Breast and Cervical cancer for the Come Together Let's Walk event.Â
The seventh annual event brings the community together to raise awareness on the fight against Ovarian, Breast and Cervical cancer. The money raised goes to non-profit organizations and their gynecological cancer programs.Â
The event highlighted cancer survivors, as they walked through the crowd and up on the stage to be recognized.Â
Program Chair, Kathy Sheary, said, " it recognize all the survivors and all the people that come out to support and help fight these three cancers that effect woman so greatly and we're just happy to be here and happy to have their support."
Events like the Come Together Let's Walk have helped to educate over 3,100 woman about these cancers.Â
