CHICAGO (AP) - The Illinois Commerce Commission has scheduled a winter preparedness policy session to ensure there is ample natural gas for the heating season.

ICC Chairman Brien J. Sheahan will lead the policy session Monday from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. in Chicago.

The meeting will focus on how the U.S. natural gas market and region will meet the winter demand in the coming months.
 Â
Representatives from regional transmission organizations, Illinois local distribution companies and utility companies will provide information on what they are doing to ensure that Illinois consumers have a safe and reliable gas supply.

The session will be in the ICC's Chicago office at 160 N. LaSalle Street.
