VANDALIA, Ill. (KSDK) - Prosecutors charged a 43-year-old man with the murder of a 14-year-old Illinois girl late last week, according to WAND news partner KSDK.

The girl's biological mother, Megan Zeller, identified her as Kylie Toberman.

Toberman was reported missing around 6:30 a.m. Friday and was found dead later that afternoon, Illinois State Police said.

In addition to a charge of first-degree murder, Arnold B. Rivera was also charged with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault and concealing a homicidal death.

Toberman was found in an RV behind the home she lived in, Zeller said.

Authorities declined to release any additional information Sunday night, citing the ongoing investigation.

Rivera has a lengthy criminal past, including charges in 2000 for burglary and criminal sexual abuse of a child between the ages of 9 and 16, according to KSDK.

The news outlet reported that prosecutors in Macon County dropped both charges in exchange for Rivera pleading guilty in a separate case to a felony charge of aggravated battery in a public place for which was sentenced to 30 months probation.

In 2008, Rivera pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen vehicle in Macon County. A judge sentenced him to 24 months probation.

Rivera was scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning at the Fayette County Courthouse in Vandalia. He is being held without bond at the Fayette County Jail.
