URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — Convenient Care Plus at Carle Foundation Hospital (CFH) will be relocating on Saturday.
According to Carle Health, it will be moved to the Carle Urbana South Clinic building on the hospital campus at 601 W. University Avenue, Urbana, IL.
Convenient Care Plus provides walk-in and online scheduled appointments for minor medical problems including cold and flu symptoms, minor allergic reactions and moderate abdominal and back pain.
Carle Health said the move is part of ongoing efforts to improve access to care, allowing for the expansion of the CFH emergency department while ensuring the hospital can still provide convenient care in Urbana.
The hospital said the new space also provides more room for patient needs, increasing access to urgent care services.
To accommodate the move, Convenient Care Plus services will end at 10 p.m. on Thursday, November 13. Services will be closed all day on Friday, November 14 and reopen at the new location at 7 a.m. Saturday, November 15. Alternative convenient care options will be available at Carle Champaign on Curtis Road and Carle Urbana on Windsor Road.
Convenient Care Plus will continue its regular hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. after moving to the south clinic. Parking for the new location will be in the south garage on McCullough Avenue.
