DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Decatur Saturday morning has been identified.

According to the Decatur Police Department, officers responded to the crash just before 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Locust and North Illinois Streets.

Police said a man, later identified by the Macon County Coroner as 29-year-old Tyler Conner of Decatur, was driving in reverse on Locust Street when he ran a stop sign at the intersection. Conner then drove off the road on the north side of the 1000 block of East Locust Street, before driving through a fence and crashing into a parked, detached semi-trailer.

He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Following the crash, police said there was no indication that the man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
