CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The Champaign Fire Department put out a dryer fire in a multi-family apartment building Sunday afternoon.
It happened at 2:21 p.m. in the 700 block of South Mattis Avenue.Â
Firefighters said the fire started accidentally in a dryer vent in the building's laundry room.
According to the fire department, it was put out quickly and nobody was hurt.
