ST. JOSEPH, Ill. (WAND) — Illinois State Police confirmed that a semi truck overturned on Interstate 74 around 4:15 p.m. Friday.
It happened on the westbound side of I-74 near milepost 194.5 in St. Joseph. The right lane was shut down just before 4:30 p.m.
Police say the truck was flipped due to the wind from the severe weather that rolled through central Illinois Friday afternoon.
The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries.
