DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Local advocacy group Soy City Indivisible will host an upcoming forum on the growth and impact of data centers.Â
"Let's Talk Data Centers: Our Water, Our Power, Our Communities" will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the Decatur Public Library's Madden Auditorium.Â
According to Soy City Indivisible, the forum will include developments on the data center landscape in Macon County, impacts data centers could pose to the local environment, information on the Broadwing Energy Center and a Q&A.Â
The forum is free to the public, and registration is encouraged.Â
The event will also be livestreamed on the organization's Facebook page and on YouTube.Â
