SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Several cases of the parasitic illness cyclosporiasis have been reported in central Illinois.
The Sangamon County Public Health Department said there are eight reported cases of cyclosporiasis in the county.
The health department stated that half of the cases are people who returned from Mexico, while the others are believed to have originated in Sangamon County.
No hospitalizations have been reported.
