CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - Two batches of Champaign County mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile virus.

The announcement was made Monday on the public health district's Facebook page.

In the same post, district officials gave information on how to prevent mosquitoes from entering your home.

Mosquitoes breed in standing water and are attracted to bare skin and dark-colored clothes. Regularly remove standing water where mosquitoes can lay eggs.
