PAXTON, Ill. (WAND) - A former teacher with the Paxton-Buckley-Loda School District charged with felony sexual assault was sentenced to 30 months' probation.Â
Court records stated that Paul Meuser is also required to register as a sex offender.Â
Meuser was put on administrative leave March 8 pending a Ford County investigation into "inappropriate communications with a minor."
He resigned three days later during a Board of Education meeting.Â
According to Ford County court records, Meuser was arrested March 15Â on two counts of attempted criminal sexual assault and one charge involving a victim under 18.Â
