DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) will bring a tournament to Victory Lanes in Decatur, March 9 to 15.
It will help drive tourism and dollars to Decatur businesses.
“It’s bringing in overnight stays at our hotels. They’re going to eat at our restaurants,” Tonya Culp of the Decatur Area Convention and Visitors Bureau told WAND News. “It brings people from all over the state. So, we have the bowlers, the families and the fans who might not otherwise get a chance to visit Decatur.”
“They [bowlers] know they will be treated well. The center runs well, and I really did it for Decatur,” said Victory Lanes Owner David Small.
If you have some skill in bowling, there will be a Pro-Am so you can compete with the pros.
The tournament will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the entry fee is $80.
